Yesterday, when I checked my order, it said that my order had just left IL. Today, the UPS man rang the doorbell and handed me a package with my name on it!

Samantha's tea dress is gorgeous! The pink trim is a nice dusky pink and the collar is so elegant and fashionable and I love how it is detachable so Sam can have two different looks. The hair ribbon comes in a separate package wrapped around a piece of cardboard. The outfit also includes socks and I will try not to snag this pair the way I did with the other two pairs! A+ (worthy of a non-code buy as well)

I was griping a bit because it came in a box instead of the garment bags they used to have and my sister held up a package wrapped in a heavy gray mailing bag and said "this is my $80 dress from a major mail order department store!" she thought it was funny that the little doll sized dress came in a box, inside a cardboard box wrapped in tissue paper.

I am glad you like the tea dress. I got it recently and love the lace and the bertha collar.

That's funny about your sister's comparison. AG packaging is absolutely wonderful; I guess it's part of the whole experience. I guess it's also why most of us seem to have a hard time throwing away those pretty, sturdy little boxes!
Thanks for the review of the tea dress - I had been thinking about getting it for DD some time this year, and your review helps me make up my mind!

Thanks for the review! I don't have the tea dress, but I saw it at AGP last year. You are right about the pink ribbon being a darker dusty pink, not a pink-pink like it appears in the photos.

The reason I had to unfortunately pass on the tea dress was that I went code crazy on Sam's outfits (they are all so pretty) and had to decide for budgetary reasons between the play dress and the tea dress. I chose the play dress. Hope I don't regret it!
